Connect the Dots, Part I of Episode 2 in The Mad Hatter Musings Series

Or, An Overview of How to Harness the Power of One to Affect Transformation and Shape Your Universe

One isn't always the loneliest number

Hypothesis du jour: Can we better understand and thus transform our lives and environments according to the geometric "shapes" that numbers describe? Can we then identify evolutionary pathways and revolutionary, quantum shortcuts to reach a desired form or destination? Are the Roman Numerals of the Major Arcana simply a tally? Or a subtle Art? Can they help to highlight and predict opportunities cycles/experience by embedding concepts, relationships, and assumptions in their very lines? Are the only real "wild cards" of form the free standing I, II, III's?

Ultimately, is there also embedded within the Tarot a set of natural, unfolding formulas, connections, systems, and relationships that linked as a whole can by degree enable us to gain insight, predict, or alter the course of a our specific human experience or heart's desire -- without relying on a traditional "reading" per, se?

Let's explore

The idea of initiating some mutual co-creation or reciprocal symmetry is a Paradox of One concept that lives in the twilight zone of The Magician card (Roman numeral I); a participant/observer concept that actually assumes two of One and which I have coined The Fibonacci Twins (1,1). This whimsical term describes the very real simultaneous quantum spacetime existence of both the particle and wave; identifying the thing it's observed to be relative to its unfulfilled alternative potential, or the conspicuous absence of what it is NOT. (Embodied by the High Priestess, II)

Representing the primal forces and natural cycles which co-create and link by degrees all life on Earth (and beyond), One is all about the power of interdependent relationships relative to time-space in all spheres simultaneously--from the quantum to the mundane to the galactic.
It presents a holographic portrait of the "I" as indivisible interconnections which are knowable and traceable in the unfolding process and reciprocal patterns which evolve through Conspicuous Absence of what One is not, or by defining One by the Other to predict a third, or future state, a potential evolutionary hybrid, or a common denominator.

Sound confusing already? Just remember you can't have One without the other One because they, in essence, are the same One representing a legitimate degree of wholeness relative to The Fool, O (not zero, look carefully at its Roman Numeral position and scale relative to other cards); the two one's are just different perspectives used to define, communicate, or reinforce the identity of the other -- like Fred-and-Ginger. (1 +1 =I)

Let's start by making The Magician a singular point/dot from your perspective (Ace of Wands 1/11) inside our Fool, O sphere paradox of all/nothing of all. Initial interaction projected between the Magician and another sets in motion a potential relative relationship and can be best imagined now as two Points (1, 1) on a plane in spacetime where one point is linguistically perceived from the "I" truth (Page of Swords) point of view and the second point as the "other", "not I", or "you".

Side Dish: The Page of Swords serves in mainly identifying the self first and last according to mutable, branching, or even overflowing “sides” that either are "x" or not "x". He, or she operates relative to “the box” (IV) to feel Power, to Share, Order, and/or Love via seeking and capturing the Aces in the Magician, High Priestess, Empress, and Emperor, and he is always relative to The Fool/Hanged Man. He can also be experienced in the Minor 1-4's. As a Page, he is first and foremost a Cup, so our P of S can also be imagined as a Cup of Swords.

Again, the identity of the "I" is reinforced or reflected by the conspicuous absence of what it is because of what it is NOT. BUT, "you" from the perspective of the "other" must also be "I" -- and so the "Foolish" Twins are well met in a virtual vacuum as though two sides of one coin (Ace of Pentacles 1/11). A line MUST be drawn!

Ok, so now we have two equal Ones that can respond or be connected relatively only by one line, or "tether". So which is it now? "I"? Or is one both a dot and a shared line with the other one "I"? To leave it here would result in a state of perpetual tug of war or "pong" directed between is/is not, will/will not. But what happens if we make another "copy" of One at this stage? Now it's two of one's again, and so we have two lines and four points, and the High Priestess portal of opposing and converging relativity jumps into the discussion.

Our Two one's can remain parallel forever without having to eliminate one or the other, or they can interact and link 2 more lines to connect in "standoff" mode as the one "box". Or they can conflict perpendicularly to merge, share, and co-create a third point. Now a hybrid potential exists where 1,1 initiates the manifestations of Two in The High Priestess "T" where the more flexible terms of “me” and/or/relative to “you” are now able to be conceptualized, and where 2 equals, for now, both 1 (2 points connected by a line) and 2 (two open lines connected by one point, which actually assumes two branches by 3 points when our One tug of war rope bends. This also lives in our Roman Numeral V and suggests a tether to the Hierophant, V rank and order). ("copy" that -- so we have two strings connected at a shared point and we've got the makings of a chromosome, or Roman Numeral X, for example. Merge the open ends together and we've got a wave, note, infinity twist etc. Connect them at the ends without fusing so two original strings are now sharing 3 points, and we have a chord. Keep the original end points and connect them by adding 2 new strings on either "side" and we've got the strands and bases of a double helix DNA segment, but I digress-- it's easy for one to get carried away by the whole point/line, particle/wave paradox of one).
